The Medical examination (Health Services) section deals with health issues relating to the site personnel including;
Pre-engagement medical examinations
All employees medical conditions are assessed for both fitness and suitability for the type of work and conditions under which they will be operating prior to them being engaged on site. This medical examination also determines pre-existing conditions before engagement.
Transfer medical examinations
These medical examinations are meant to determine both occupational diseases that may have arisen out of the course of employment on site or on a particular work environment before moving over to another site or work environment as well as determining employees fitness and suitability for the type of work and conditions under which they will be operating prior on the new assignment
Periodic medical examinations
These medical examinations conducted periodically / from time to time and are meant to determine occupational diseases that may have arisen out of the course of employment on site or on a particular work environment during the period under examination
Exit medical examinations
Employees medical conditions are assessed to determine if they did not contract any occupational diseases during their engagement on site. This is a very crucial assessment as it determines any interventions that the employee might need for the future well being.
